While preparing one of my final exams for my Art and Literature class (yes, I got to prepare the final at home!), I had to find links between pieces of art and literature. Here is a link that I found in this Renoir painting, and in a few lines of a Baudelaire poem. Just look at the painting, read each line, and it’s almost as if these lines are describing the scene directly! Pretty cool.
After painting my nails a bright red, I was in the retro mood, so cinched myself into this (really short) dress. On a hot, NOT windy day, this dress is wonderful, and makes me feel so breezy.
I caught the painting bug recently, and decided to express this new surge in creativity by painting some cards. At first, staring at the blank surfaces, I felt lost and didn’t know what to draw. But then I just started drawing, free of self-judgement, and I’m happy with how they turned out!
Jean-Honoré Fragonard is one of my favorites, because he quite often paints scenes of love and restlessness. These two paintings look to me as if a secret love affair is unfolding behind the scenes, and the lovers’ hearts are beating a million times a second for one another. I don’t know about you, but falling hopelessly in love with a handsome young man sounds like something I’d thoroughly enjoy. Also, that dog looks like my Mom’s dog, and that is quite amusing to me.
Okay guys – I feel like I wear these red pants CONSTANTLY, but the more I wear them, the more they mold to my body, and the more comfortably they fit! Plus, who knows how long (or short) this colored pants trend will last? I want to take full advantage of the trend before it’s considered to be old news.
Look everyone! I got prints in the mail! It’s always so exciting to see my images in print-form!
Since I don’t own my own professional printer, and 1-hour photo at Walmart just doesn’t cut it, I decided to get my prints taken care of through I Print From Home. I ordered them with a matte finish, and they look awesome. They also deliver really quickly, within three days, for only $3. I haven’t been able to send them out to any customers yet, but here’s to hoping!
